About Royal Clipper
The Royal Clipper is one of the flagship vessels of the cruise company Star Clippers. Measuring 134 meters in length and 17 meters in width, it is the largest fully rigged five-masted sailing ship built since the launch of its predecessor nearly a century ago. With a total of 42 sails, it evokes the golden age of sail while remaining remarkably modern.
Drydocking
Installation of a new bow thruster
- Installation and full connection, followed by operational testing
Load testing of davits
- Load tests were carried out to verify proper operation and lifting capacity
High-pressure washing of the underwater hull
- High-pressure cleaning of the vessel’s underwater hull
Antifouling touch-ups
- Local repairs of the antifouling coating were carried out to ensure hull protection
